Career of Brett Favre of Green Bay Packers
I have been watching the on going saga of Brett Favre's career. I have enjoyed every minute I have watched him play for the Green Bay Packers. I hated to see him say he was retiring in March, although I knew some day it would come to that. He is 38,but still able to play. I think he was sort of forced into retirement.Brett has decided he really wants to still play. Green Bay is making it hard for him. He realizes he probably has lost starting quarterback position and he said in the interview last night with Greta on Fox that he understands that. But he doesn't understand why they won't either let him come back and play or release him to play for other teams. I guess it's a catch 22 - they have another quarterback that is younger that they want playing for them and they know, if they release him from his contract, somebody out there is going to pick him up and they will more than likely be meeting their former quarterback on the other side of the field one day. And they definitely do not want that. Either he is capable of winning or he isn't. What are they afraid of? You would think, if they thought he was still capable of winning, they...
green bay packers
what do you think of the Green Bay packers they are my fav team they have been foreverly be meeting their former quarterback on the other side of the field one day. And they definitely do not want that. Either he is capable of winning or he isn't. What are they afraid of? You would think, if they thought he was still capable of winning, they would want him on their team and if he isn't, what are they worrying about? It was mentioned they wanted to 'protect his legacy'. Give me a break! That isn't worrying Brett. He knows what he has accomplished over the years at Green Bay. And if he wants to go forward and play a few more years with another team, release him and let him go. I think it is selfish of Green Bay to not release him from his contract. What do you think of this whole situation? I would definitely love to see Brett play again, although I would prefer with Green Bay. But, if they won't let him play, shouldn't they let him go and make his own decisions?
Koren Robinson, Green Bay Packers WR, has been reinstated by the NFL today
I would like to get everybody's feelings regarding Koren Robinson being reinstated by the NFL today, after serving a one year suspension from the league, as well as jail time. It is my opinion that Koren has served his time and is justified in being given another chance by the league. According to everything that I have read, Koren appears to be a person of good character, who has at times in his life, made some bad decisions. Should he violate the substance abuse policy one more time, he would face a life time ban from the NFL. Please let me know what your stance is on this subject. If you feel differently, please explain why. There have been several NFL players in the news in the past few months for various incidents.
What do you think of the Green Bay Packers?
Did you watch them today? What is your opinion on Bret Farve? I think he should not have come back we need new blood.
Packers beat the 49ers!
It was an ugly win but we will take it anyway we can! The Packers looked really good in the 1st half and then got conservative in the second half! The 49ers looked bad in the 1st half and much better in the second half! The Packers defense come up big with the Nick Collins interception which lead to use to are last score! I'm happy once again! Go Pack!
Bring Brett Favre back?
I am a huge fan of Brett Favre and think the team should spend some money on a line to protect him and see what he can do. What do you think?
What's your favorite sport/sports team and Why???
I was just wondering what everyones favorite sport is and what there favorite sports team is and why? Personally I am a big fan of american football. My favorite team is the Green Bay Packers because I am from Wisconsin and grew up watching them play. Thanks for all the responses in advance. ly be meeting their former quarterback on the other side of the field one day. And they definitely do not want that. Vikings vs. Packers
Today was the day that Brett Favre and Packers fans have been talking about for weeks. The first matchup between The Packers and Brett Favre in Green Bay since Favre signed a contract with Minnesota, and became their starting quarterback. If you know me at all, you know that I'm a die hard Cowboys fan, so there's no love in my house for the Packers anyway, but what I saw from a huge majority of their fans today really turned me off of Packer football, and would have probably caused me to change allegiance, had I been a Green Bay follower. When Brett Favre ran onto the Lambaugh field for the first time today, he was booed by fans who two short years ago thought he was God's gift to football. I have to say, I thought it was horrible sportsmanship, and just bad manners! If Green Bay had simply released Favre to play for the Vikings last year, there would never have been the farce of him playing for New York and then having to announce his retirement, and then coming out of retirement. Personally, I'm glad to see the old man still playing. It gives me hope that I can continue to do things that the world thinks I'm too old to do!So what are your thoughts? Not on the...
Bret Favre... will this saga end?
The man can't decide for the life of him if he's done with Football or not. His last year in Green Bay he blew the season for them. Then he got traded to the Jets where he did poorly for one season.... now the rumor mill is going still that he's looking to the Vikings.*sigh* http://www.wisn.com/sports/20444893/detail.htmlThe man is in almost 40, that's OLD for a professional sports player & he's had numerous surgeries. I dunno bout you but why can't the man walk away and do good with the fame and money that he's earned instead of this silly game of I'm retired today, but not tomorrow junk.
Are you a football fan?
I grew up and still live very close to Pittsburgh Pa.The home of the Pittsburgh Steelers.I am a die hard fan.Never miss a game.Next Thursday is the first of 4 preseason games before the start of the regular season.Do you have a favorite team?
