| This Year. | | So what do you think of the Houston Texans this year. Do you think they will make the playoffs | |
| | It's that time again America--Are you ready for some football? | | It is hard to believe that in this heat it is time for the fall sports, that being football! One more preseason game for the pro teams and the college teams are starting this week. Our Houston Texans are looking better than last year. My college favorites are starting this Saturady. Hook em Horns and Roll Tide. How do you think your teams will do? | |

| Who Needs Michael Vick? We've Got Ahman Green! | | With the disgusting story of Michael Vick fresh on our minds, how about this. When Ahman Green, formerly with the Green Bay Packers, signed as a free agent with the Houston Texans he wanted jersey #30. But Jason Simmons had worn that jersey since the Texans began. They made a deal. It would cost Green $25,000 to be used to help someone. The two players decided to use it to help someone buy a house. Yesterday the deal was done. A single mother with a 7 year old autistic son was given the help to buy a home for her and her son.Even team owner Bob McNair helped with an additional $25,000. Regina Foster was picked from 5 finalists who had agreed to put $1500 toward the downpayment and contribute 100 hours of community service. Funny thing is, she said she knew nothing about football and was not a Texan fan, but "I am now" she said. She told the players that she would dedicate her son's room to the Texans. So Green told her that the team would donate Texans gear for it. Now isn't this a better story? | |
| | Football Soon | | Where does time go? It is going to be football season soon. Do you follow football? Do you prefer pro or college or both. I like college and my favorite teams are the Texas Longhorns and the Alabama Crimson Tide. Our pro team the Houston Texans has a new quarterback. He seems to be the take charge type of guy. All the fans are hoping to see the Texans have a better year. How do you think your teams will do? | |

| Bears can clinch division title in Week 12 | |
BRISTOL, Connecticut (Ticker) - The Chicago Bears can clinch their second straight division title on Sunday. Tom Brady and the New England Patriots know all about winning divisions. The interconference battle between the Bears (9-1) and Patriots (7-3) is the marquee matchup of Week 12 in the NFL.
The Sunday night meeting between the Indianapolis Colts (9-1) and Philadelphia Eagles (5-5) was supposed to be another intriguing interconference game featuring quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Donovan McNabb. But the contest lost much of its luster when McNabb suffered a season-ending knee injury last week. The Bears can become only the fourth team since the advent of the 16-game schedule in 1978 to clinch a division title by its 11th game. The other three are the 1985 Bears, the 1997 San Francisco 49ers and 2004 Eagles. Chicago can seal the NFC North crown with a win at New England, coupled with losses by the Minnesota Vikings (4-6) and Green Bay Packers (4-6). The Vikings host former coach Dennis Green and the Arizona Cardinals (2-8) on Sunday and the Packers visit the first-place Seattle Seahawks (6-4) on Monday night. But beating the Pats will be...
| | Houston at NY Jets | | Live Fantasy Advice: Watch Fantasy Football Live Heading into this season, New York Jets fans were just hoping Chad Pennington could stay on the field. Now many of them don't want him to. Even though his coach says Pennington is entrenched as the starter, the veteran quarterback could use a strong performance on Sunday against the Houston Texans to convince the Jets' faithful he deserves to be. After injuries caused him to miss 21 games over the past three seasons, Pennington has stayed healthy all season but he's been mostly mediocre since opening the season with back-to-back 300-yard games.
The inconsistency and costly mistakes of the former first-round pick have caused many New York fans to call for coach Eric Mangini to try Patrick Ramsey or rookie Kellen Clemens at quarterback. Pennington has all but one of the Jets' pass attempts this season. "Chad is the quarterback right now," Mangini said without hesitation Monday, one day after New York (5-5) lost 10-0 to Chicago. Pennington had two interceptions, including one in the end zone, while completing 19 of 35 passes for 162 yards. The Jets have been held to an average of 13.5 points...
